A Pet for Every Person
A PET FOR EVERY PERSON is the perfect book set to use to teach nonfiction print conventions to students in grades 2-5. It contains a big book, a set of small books, and a teacher’s guide. Included within the text are: an index, a graph, a diagram, a table of contents, bold words, an index, a bibliography, a time line, headings, a map, and a glossary.
This set helps to introduce the nonfiction print conventions and gives you us a common text on which to practice the usage of those conventions. The 36-page activity guide is correlated to curriculum standards. Each big book comes with a 10-pack of smaller student books. Additional 10-packs available. |
"I think every school should have a class set of A Pet for Every Person in their library. It is the easiest way to teach nonfiction, and the kids are so absorbed in the book that they don't want to give it back. I love when the teachers come to me to ask how we are going to collaborate to teach all the nonfiction print conventions and I have the perfect thing for us to use in our lesson!"
